Statement of Purpose

I want to explore how I feel about development issues. I want to write about development theories- (Modernization, Dependency, World Systems, Marxist, etc.), the history and future of imperialism, and possible avenues for successful development.

I want to focus specifically on Central Africa. I am planning on spending an extended period of time there in my life, but I want to know more about the specific economic, social, and historical context of the countries there.
